This course helps you see sin and suffering through a Biblical lense. The class gave me a framework through which to view my struggles and helped me identify areas of necessary or potential change. Often when we are struggling through life, it is hard to see a way out of the pain or out of the spiral of sin. The tools I learned in this class certainly didn't solve all my problems, but they gave me the ability to pull back and reflect upon each situation to more clearly see a way through. By God's grace, I have been able to make strides in some areas of personal struggle and I know the tools I gained from taking this class will continue to help me for my lifetime.

We all experience different types of trials at different times in our life. How do we respond to the various trials we experience? How do we react to the pressures of life? These are the types of questions that we grappled with in the DBC course last Fall. We discussed sinful responses as well as godly responses to "the heat" in our life. So many of the aspects of the course were great including Dr.  Powlison's prayers, lectures as well as Kendra's encouragement through the entire course.
