A FOUNDATIONAL COURSE FROM CCEF


Dynamics of Biblical Change (DBC) is coming to New Life. Learn about how we face the troubles of life, how we deal with our inner struggles, and how we change into Jesus' image. DBC is the first step in completing your Formation Certificate through Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF), which recognizes Christians who seek to grow in Christ and help others do the same. The course will be taught by in-person and online instructors including our own Kendra Fabel, Counselor at the New Life Counseling Center. This opportunity and special price is available to all members and regular attenders at New Life.

CCEF Featured Faculty: David Powlison served as CCEF’s executive director (2014-2019), a faculty member, and senior editor of the Journal of Biblical Counseling. He held a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and an MDiv from Westminster Theological Seminary. David wrote extensively on biblical counseling and on the relationship between faith and psychology. His books Seeing with New Eyes and Speaking Truth in Love probe the implications of Scripture for how to understand people and how to counsel.

CCEF Featured Faculty: Alasdair Groves serves as CCEF’s Executive Director, as well as a faculty member and counselor. He received a Master of Divinity with a counseling emphasis from Westminster Theological Seminary. He co-founded a biblical counseling center in Northern New England where he served as executive director for ten years. He is the co-author of Untangling Emotions (Crossway), has published a number of articles in the Journal of Biblical Counseling, hosts CCEF's podcast, and has produced many blogs, videos, and audio resources.
