Night of Celebration
The NLPC Night of Celebration event is a church-wide celebration of Christ’s birth. Along with the celebration, you will have an opportunity to join us in partnering with Hope for San Diego to collect donations for Afghani refugees. See below for information on how your contribution to this campaign works as your "admission ticket" to the event.
This year's event features an imaginative one-man version of the classic tale, author Charles Dickens has gathered an audience of friends (including you!) as he presents his newest work, acting out all of the parts himself. Dickens' timeless story of repentance, redemption and hope comes to life in this festive and moving adaptation.
Afghan Refugee Welcome Basket Project
We are partnering with Hope for San Diego to help provide ten Afghan Refugee families with Welcome Baskets containing basic household necessities to help set up their new homes here in America. While the political situation is complex, Hope for San Diego believes that our calling as Christians is to care for Afghan refugees as our neighbors, with love.
We see special care and concern God shows for immigrants-described as aliens, strangers, sojourners, foreigners-throughout scripture. They are our neighbors, and we are called to love them in the name of Jesus.
