Missions

As beggars who have had our hearts’ hunger satisfied by Jesus the Bread of Heaven, the members of New Life Presbyterian Church are eager to participate in spreading the news of God’s amazing grace both globally and locally. With our prayers, giving, and personal encouragement, we support those who are carrying the message of new life in Christ to distant places and different cultures to plant new churches, translate the Bible for people who have never read God’s Word in their own language, and educate and mentor pastors and evangelists. It is our joy and privilege to join with other believers and churches in supporting ministries that nurture adolescents and young adults into strong adult followers of Christ, train pastors and missionaries, expose and critique current threats to the church’s faith, care for women facing problem pregnancies, promote God-glorifying reconciliation among Christians, and meet the material and spiritual needs of our Spanish-speaking neighbors on both sides of the US-Mexico border. We long for the day foretold in the Book of Revelation:
“After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb….And they cried out in a loud voice, ‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.'” (Revelation 7:9-10)
And we are committed to being the Lamb’s instruments as he assembles that countless international choir for his glory at the end of history!

Hearts for Mission
Would you like to invest more of your life in God’s Kingdom around the world by praying for missionaries and Christians living in countries throughout the globe? Some are meeting in Hearts for Missions groups that pray for certain missionaries. Others are praying for missionaries through their Bible study or small group. Part of the joy and blessing of connecting could be letter writing, sending Christmas gifts, making contributions to meet specific needs, regular reports from the mission field, etc., as the Lord leads.
